Octopeye

This 8x10 in. watercolor painting was a commissioned piece--the only constraints were that the client wanted an orange octopus grabbing eyeballs. The rest was up to me!

I decided to use complementary colors, foreshortening, and contrast to make a simple but eye-catching composition. I loved adding in all the details as well! They pushed me out of my comfort zone but it made the end results all the more rewarding.
