Nerite Snail Painting

I love bright colors contrasted against really dark backgrounds and wanted to do a piece where I did that. This is a painting of my aquatic snail named Wendell Gee. I painted this with acryla gouache to make sure I could get everything looking really flat and opaque. I think it gives it that really stark look I was after. And it's cute!
